Starting as a contributing writer for Sparknotes, I became an online editor for HerUni.com and Miro Magazine in the early 2010s, as well as writing for Mouth London and other online magazines. I have a blog on this site, but also write about music and film over on Medium. I am interested in writing pieces about mental health, body image, animal care/welfare and popular culture, and am currently accepting commissions.
Over the last year I have been building up my experience as a performance poet, becoming fairly recognisable on the Bath poetry circuit. I was longlisted for the Penguin Random House Write Now programme in 2018, and hope to begin pitching my first novel, Catdragon, in the spring of 2020.
I have over 10 years of experience as a content and copywriter and have worked in-house and agency side with particular experience in animal care, charities, financial services, technology and healthcare. My work has varied from taglines and social copy to in-depth long reads. I am currently the Content Manager for a leading publishing house in Bath.
